FileGear

A document library for an organisation's procedures, regulations, announcements and reports, filed by division and folder so the right version is always one click away.

Procedures and regulations get passed around as attachments until nobody knows which version is current. FileGear gives every document one home: a division, a folder inside it, and a typed record that says what the document is and what kind of file it holds.

Admins curate the library; everyone else signs in to browse and download.

Divisions → folders → documents

Three levels, each with a name and description.

Document types

Procedure, regulation, announcement, report or other.

File types

PDF, Word, Excel, video, image or other, each with its own icon.

Admins and guests

Admins manage users and content; guests read.
